ACHS Spring Musical Tickets Now On Sale!
Tickets for the spring musical at ACHS are now on sale!  Urinetown is set in the not-so-distant future where the government has placed a ban on private toilets due to two decades of drought. This means that everyone must use restrooms controlled by a company, Urine Good Company, that profits off admission to use their facilities. Bobby Strong decides he can’t take it anymore and plans a revolution to bring change to Urinetown! To complicate matters, however, he has also fallen in love… with the daughter of his nemesis – the head of the UGC!
Performances are April 3 and 4 at 7:30 p.m. and April 4 at 2:00 p.m.  Tickets are $10 each.  Purchase your general admission ticket at the door or online in advance:  www.seatyourself.biz/achs.

Youth Leadership Initiative-Due 4/24
The Greater Des Moines Partnership is currently recruiting for our 13th year of the program, and the application deadline will be here before you know it! In our current class we have 39 students from 18 Central Iowa high schools participating in the year-long program. I would also like to add that this program is 100% tuition free, a $1,500 investment we make in every student that is selected to participate.
This program offers students opportunities to engage with businesses, organizations, and community leaders on a level that cannot be offered by the traditional classroom alone. Our main objectives are:
•         EMPOWERING youth to connect, participate in change, and create their ideal community
•         ENCOURAGING youth to become active participants in their community
•         ENGAGING youth in opportunities to invest their futures in the Greater Des Moines area
We are encouraging all students to apply who will be a sophomore or junior next year (2015-2016)-click the link for more information.
